The price is more than reasonable for the quality you get. The hardcover and binding are good but not especially remarkable. Beats every other dictionary as it is compiled by several national/royal academies from South America, Central America and the one from Europe(Spain).
This is a great dictionary for both people learning Castilian Spanish and for native Castilian speakers. Le doy a este libro 4 estrellas porque la letra es muy pequeña. Porque sus diccionarios pequeñons (y con el paso del tiempo, sus diccionarios grandes) no van a poder ayudarles. Besides, trying to learn the meaning of a Spanish word by reading the definition in Spanish is a good challenge. Why? Because their little dictionaries (and eventually their large dictionaries) won't be able to help them.
I think it's necessary for college students majoring or minoring in Spanish. But since I'm not a native speaker, this review is written from the point of view of an English-speaker. This dictionary is necessary for anyone who is seriously studying Spanish and for native speakers.
